Just a round of free drinks at a posh bar or extra discounts on top of the cosmetics line-up and accessories, or even a specially curated spa-massages for this day, Nay ! Dont settle for these only at the price of freedom to live, liberty to walk free, to have the power to make big decisions. You are definitely more than that. Be the woman you have always dreamt of. 🎉 Celebrations 🎉
Whether you find your life as a woman stifling or freeing is your choice. The irony shouldn’t held in guilt. The paradox of Scripture is that submission gives the greatest freedom and that death brings life. We can die to ourselves, to our dreams and to our own desires, yet find that we are vibrantly alive and free to pursue the high calling of womanhood with intelligence, wit, joy and zest. This is our vision. This is our calling. This is it.
Whatever glory belongs to the race for a development unprecedented in history for the given length of time, a full share belongs to the WOMANHOOD of the race. Being a woman is seriously a terribly difficult task, since it consist principally in dealings with men and kids like us 😉😄
Women should not view professional success and loving motherhood as at odds with each other. Instead, women ought to cultivate an authentic and creative form of excellence that engages the whole person, with all her talents, in relation with others. At par, its a distant compliment but not impossible.
Angela Miceli shared one prominent experience in her published article a few years back, “As a college student and later a graduate student, I never once had a professor talk with me about how my choice of profession would impact me if I wanted to get married and have children. The assumption is always that if you should marry (or, even worse, get pregnant!), then your future career is over. However, some women are seeking creative solutions to these problems.”
We might be better able to find creative solutions for women, while acknowledging the real sacrifices that must also be made by both women and men. Women might not be able to achieve “a happy harmony,” or to sustain the perfect balance between career and family, since we are indeed limited beings. However, we can happily flourish in the midst of real, concrete human relationships and in the midst of a variety of good and excellent human pursuits.
Women who stay at home are made to feel that they cannot ever hope to accomplish anything newsworthy or even praiseworthy by “wasting” their talents on a “mindless” routine of housework, cooking, diaper changing and child training. But who gets to define what is important or significant in life? For too long, we have let the feminists define the terms, and we have surrendered much in the face of their overbearing and condescending rhetoric. Even my mother has been doing all of these since so many years and it shouldn’t mean she gets to be stereotyped. She is more than this. She is a life for me and that life is beyond all mediocore chores of terms and definitions. There would be a time when she would like to say, “My dear boy, the day you see I’m getting old, I ask you to please be patient, but most of all, try to understand what I’m going through. If when we talk, I repeat the same thing a thousand times, don’t interrupt to say: ‘you said the same thing a minute ago’… Just listen, please. Try to remember the times when you were little and I would read the same story night after night until you would fall asleep”. Trust me, I didn’t wanted to bring this up but I had to since many of Gen-X aren’t treating them well, and woman of those age are finding it difficult to sustain the precious life. Unfortunate but we can make it not happen through our efforts. Just be there for her. Woman of all ages, require company of other gender to lead through life, we as the second(I said it) best gender of this society, we should always make them feel comfortable and joyous in surrounding.
The call of womanhood is deep, challenging and broad. One lifetime is given us to make things beautiful, wholesome, nourishing, glad-hearted and noble. We should all compliment each other and make this work. The efforts from both gender should equalify and May we use our time wisely to build a great eco-balanced-life among ourselves.
Lady Gaga once quoted, “Some women choose to follow men, and some women choose to follow their dreams. If you’re wondering which way to go, remember that your career will never wake up and tell you that it doesn’t love you anymore. ”
Just be yourself and understand the fact that you’re more than just a body, designation, term or a name. Feel the vibe and be merry always !
